Cemented carbides are powder metallurgy products. They are formed by fine particles of hard carbides of some metals, such as W, Ti, Ta, etc., which are mutually bonded usually cobalt. The relative abundance of each species carbide and cobalt then determines the properties of the cemented carbide.
